The antics and wisecracks they come up with are beautiful - and I am fortunate enough to be a work-from-home grandparent so when I go to visit my grandchildren I get to spend quality time with them - without having to arrange my day to my working schedule.
I had a fabulous time with them on 'Holi" (an Indian festival of colours) a couple of years ago. Aah, that was beautiful. Last year, I had the pleasure of introducing them to my 83 year old mother whom they had never seen before. What a joy it was. They all loved her and she adores them. Could never have happened if I had had to go to work in a conventional job.
Seeing them grow and hearing all the sweet things they say is about the best thing that can happen to anyone. I had my 3 and a half year old grandson - who had seen his dad and me take my mother upstairs for a shower, myself in front and my son at the back to ensure she did not fall, say to her one day when we were not around - "It's ok greatgrandma I'll take you upstairs.......
Brings tears to my eyes just to think of it............
Anyway, more soon............ I would like to go back to building my business now, so I can spend more quality time with my grand-children soon.:)
